Today, I'm reaching out to let you know about a significant development that WILL impact you and nearly everyone you know.
For the first time in years, the largest property tax increase has hit our area, and you have only 1 month to appeal until the first week in June. That's right - you have just 30 days to take action and appeal your property tax assessment, using a specific format.
As your trusted real estate expert, I want to do everything I can to help. - Search your property on the "assessor property search" portal
- Click the Tab showing your current and future taxes. Some counties show differently
- Download your Appeal Form from the appeal resources below
- Find Low-Price Comparable Homes. 1. Go to SOLD homes in Zillow/Realtor.com/ReColorado.com OR 2. Ask me to send you 2-3 sold comps (I'll need to know condition of your house)
- Fill out the Appeal Form
- Submit Form: Online, by Mail, or In-Person

I'm happy to help you get the 2-3 recent sales in your area to help push your value down and save you money on your property taxes. For example, in my neighborhood, I found two comparables of houses in rough shape for $150,000 less than it said my house is worth, and plan to use those for our appeal. Our property taxes went up $142 per month before the pending appeal was filed. The governor said he's working on reducing the recent increase, however, it's safer to appeal with data, rather than waiting to see if that even happens.
